Galway Wedding Cheryl & Vivian
Hello Peeps!
Thought I would write a quick note summarizing one of my recent Galway Weddings. I was delighted to Dj Cheryl and Vivian’s wedding Saturday night in the Salthill Hotel.
The wedding had a fantastic mix of young and old. I was delighted to meet again Matt Cunningham who taught me music in national school. Unfortunately Matt’s hard work didn’t pay off as I never had the dedication to learn a musical instrument 🙁
Anyway to all you future Bride and Groom’s out there I would definitely check out Matt Cunningham and the Celi Band. I really enjoyed their music all night. It was so nice to see so many traditional celi sets once more at a wedding. For more info see Matt Cunningham Celi Band
So over to the Dj set. My night strated out just as the band were setting up. I got set up myself and went about the room taking random snaps. I normally share photos from my Dj Events but not for weddings. I believe that decision should be up to the Bride and Groom. However here’s a sneek peek from the night.
During the band’s coffee break I decided to try out some alternative background music. Two tracks that spring to mind that went down really well with singing at multiple tables was Man in The Mirror – Michael Jackson and One Day Like This – Elbow. I think i’ll keep those in mind for future coffee breaks.
Once Matt and the Celi band had finished their set, it was my turn to entertain this Galway Wedding. In my opinion no wedding the same and very much unique. Cheryl and Vivian’s guests were very much into Pop, Chart and Dance. Three tracks that spring to mind were Shut Up and Dance – Walk the Moon, and Can’t Hold Us – Macklemore and I Took a Pill in Ibiza – Mike Posner. Also an old classic Ghetto Superstar really rocked this Galway Wedding which I thoroughly enjoyed.
All the best to Cheryl & Vivian in the future!
Looking forward to the next Galway Wedding
