TERMS & CONDITIONS
‘Confirmation’ will mean any verbal, electronic or written acceptance of this booking by the ‘client’ and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON. All bookings take effect immediately upon confirmation. DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON will store the signed contract(s) for safe keeping (copies available on request) for a period up to and including the date of the event, and for up to six years after the event as permitted by law. A processing fee must be paid for confirmation to take effect. Monies must be paid on acceptance of this agreement.
A booking is only confirmed by DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON once I am in receipt of the booking fee above. Until such time as this condition has been met, the booking will be treated as an ‘invitation to treat’ only and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON reserves the right to accept an alternative booking without notification.
Payment of fees
As stated above a booking fee must be received by DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON for the booking to take effect. This is a non- refundable fee charged for booking administration and initial preparatory work to include arranging transport, dedicating time to a playlist etc. This fee must be paid on acceptance of the terms and conditions herein and a receipt will be issued by palpal. Booking fees can be paid through paypal above. All fees are charged in Euro. The balance is payable to DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON in cash on the day/night of the event or advance bank transfer. Advance bank transfer must be made no later than seven days before the event. Cheques or postal orders are not accepted. Any bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the ‘client’. Payments on the night are paid in cash only and in advance of commencement. In the event monies cannot be received in this timeframe special arrangements can be made for payment to be paid on a specified date prior to the performance. The fee paid is for agreed start time and finish time and any additional time must be paid prior to the performance continuing. Overtime is charged at €100.00 per hour. DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON does not play after 2.00am unless agreed/spoken about in advance. Playing time after 2.00am is charged at the above rate.
Canellation
Cancellation by the ‘client’ will result in the loss of any processing fee paid. Cancellation 60 days prior to the date will require 50% of the balance to be paid. If a new date is sought and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON is available for said date then
the processing fee can be carried forward to the new date. However, in the event that prior engagements have been made by DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON and he/she is obliged to fulfil other events and are unavailable for the event in question the processing fee will be withheld by DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON. In the unlikely event that DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON cancels the booking, DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON agrees to inform the ‘client’ of the cancellation immediately and will make all reasonable attempts to find a suitable replacement artist of similar standard and style, at no extra cost to the ‘client’. The ‘client’ may also opt for a full refund if such a scenario arises.
As per the Consumer Protetction Act, 2007 this agreement shall have a 14 day cooling-off period and as such the ‘client’ may cancel same at any point in that period and avail of a full refund to include processing fee.
CHANGES ON THE DAY
Where possible, changes to the contract schedule which are unavoidable on the day of the event should first be discussed & agreed with DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON. Should this not be possible, changes are to be agreed between the ‘client’ and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON prior to the performance. Any changes will be subject to these terms and conditions. Changes negotiated between the ‘client’ and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON on the day of the event and any extra fees are agreed upon, the ’client’ must pay these extra fee’s along with the remaining balance of the booking fee. In the event Management at the venue require without prior notice DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON to terminate the performance pre- maturely for reasons outside DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON control a refund will not be given. (Refer to event details for times agreed in the booking confirmation email).
Service guarantee
DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON agrees to provide a performance that is to the best of their ability, and reflects fully the likeness of the DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON show, as known to and as advertised to the ‘client’ via distribution of DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON promotional materials, profiles, pictures, videos, web page etc. DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON will make every effort to ensure their performance is outstanding, adhere to the client’s wishes within all reasonableness, be polite and courteous with the ‘client’, their guests and all venue staff and contractors.
DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON agrees to provide all equipment required to undertake this performance, unless the equipment has been contractually agreed to be provided by the ‘client’ or a third party. It is DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON’s responsibility to ensure the good working order & safety of the equipment. ‘DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON’ may on the day of the event take some images and videos. He reserves the right to use these images and videos from in his marketing material both online and offline.
DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON agrees that their fee is inclusive of all expenses.
DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON will not smoke in restricted areas or park vehicles in restricted areas at the performance venue.
DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON will not display any other conduct deemed anti-social, illegal, nor reflecting badly upon themselves, DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON, or the ‘client’.
The adjustment of the volume and sound level of any equipment shall be as the ‘client’ reasonably requires.
DJ equipment
It is agreed by the ‘client’ and DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON that the equipment of the DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON are not available for use by other performers or persons except by specific permission of the DJ AIDAN CONNAUGHTON.
The Client realises that whilst every reasonable safeguard is assured, the breakdown of any electrical equipment can be an unavoidable occurrence and is often outside of my control. I will however make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation. In the extremely unlikely occurrence of a non-performance, or if a total failure occurs, The Client will be refunded in full. In this situation, this will be the full extent of my liability.
By paying the booking fee above, I agree to the terms and conditions set herein.
