Thought I would write a quick note summarizing a recent Claregalway Wedding. I was delighted to Dj Edel and Liam’s Claregalway Wedding on Friday the 28th of August 2107 in the Claregalway Hotel.
With Edel being from the ‘Lovely Annaghdown’ and Liam being from Clarinbridge there was a fantastic mix of young and old at this Wedding. I was delighted to meet again The Wondertones.ie who were actually our own Wedding band back in 2015. These guys are an excellent band. Not only are they great musicians but they are sound lads too who are always entertaining.
To all you future Bride and Groom’s out there, I would definitely check out The Wondertones.ie. I really enjoyed their music all night.
My night started out just as the band were setting up. I got set up myself and went about the room taking random professional photographs. I normally share photos from my Dj Events but not for weddings unless the Bride or the Groom specifically request for me to publicly share their photos. Sometimes Brides or Grooms like to share their photos with friends, family and colleagues so that they can all join in on the occasion and have lifetime memories. At this particular Wedding we decided to keep 98% of the photos private bar the ones you see in this post.
During the band’s coffee break we were treated to the Hession School of Irish Dance. We all really enjoyed the Irish dancing that was on show. The highlight of the Irish dancing was a rendition of Smooth Criminal through Irish dance.
After the Irish dancing there was still some time remaining in the tea break, so I decided to try out some alternative background music. Two tracks that spring to mind that went down really well was ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars and ‘Greatest Day’ by Take That. I think i’ll keep those in mind for future coffee breaks.
Once the The Wondertones.ie had finished their set, it was my turn to entertain this Claregalway Wedding. In my opinion no wedding the same and very much unique. Edel & Liam’s guests were very much into Country Music. Multiple Jive songs were requested at this Claregalway Wedding. Artists such as Derek Ryan, Nathan Carter, Mike Denver we’re among their favourites. But it wasn’t all Country music at this Wedding. Their Wedding guests were also loving the modern Chart and Old Skool mixes during the night. Three tracks that spring to mind were Derek Ryan’s – Pick A Bale Of Cotton, Nathan Carter’s, ‘Good Time Girls’ and a complete opposite to those tracks, Picture This – ‘Take My Hand’ . Also an old classic ‘Jump Around’ by House of Pain went down really well.
That’s about it for this Claregalway Wedding Review. If you would like to book me to Dj your Wedding, why not contact me today to discuss.
The very best of luck to Edel and Liam in the future.
Looking forward to the next Claregalway Wedding 🙂
